Guided Tram Tour
Ride through the native prairie with our guide and learn about the wildlife, plants, and history of Maxwell Wildlife Refuge.

All k-12 Education Tram Tours
Cost is $7.00 per student if tax exempt please privide tax-exemt form
All College Tram Tours
cost is $10.00 Per Student if tax exempt please provide tax exempt form
All Large Groups Of 50 or more

How to book
How to Book a Group Reservation
Review Dates & Group Size
Have a few preferred dates and times ready, along with your estimated group size.
Submit the Request Form
Fill out the Group Reservation Request Form below so we can check availability and plan your visit.
Wait for Confirmation
Our staff will contact you to confirm details, answer questions, and finalize your reservation.
Bring Your Confirmation
Please arrive early on the day of your visit so everyone can use restrooms and be ready to board the tram.
Policies
Group Reservation Policies
Arrival & Weather
Please arrive at least 15–20 minutes early to allow time for restrooms, unloading, and gathering your group. Tram tours may be delayed, rescheduled, or canceled due to severe weather or unsafe prairie conditions.
Accessibility & Safety
Please let us know in advance if anyone in your group has mobility or accessibility needs. Stay seated on the tram at all times, do not feed or approach animals, and follow all instructions from your guide.
Cancellations
Please notify us at least [X days] in advance if you need to cancel or change your reservation. We’ll work with you to find another date when possible.
Food & Drink
Food is allowed in picnic areas. Please pack out all trash or use designated containers, and do not throw food toward or feed wildlife.

Having complete information helps us place your group on the best tour and prepare our guides for your arrival.
- Know your estimated group size and age range.
- Have 2–3 possible dates and times ready.
- Decide if you’d like an educational add-on or picnic time.
- Let us know about any accessibility or mobility needs.
